 Ambilobe Panther Chameleons
Also known as the "Sirama", this locale has only been imported and captive bred in quantity since late 2001. Located inland in northwest Madagascar, these stunners show a wide range of coloration. With a more subdued background, a "fired-up" male may show the more common yellow background, while less common variations can be orange or red. Vertical bars can be solid variations of red, purple, and dark green . Other variations have vertical bars of a turquoise/blue, bordered and/or speckled with orange. This locale probably has the widest range of naturally occurring color variations, and is considered by many to represent the finest color of any.
